Emerging Squad

Part of the Ivanhoe Neons competitive club 

This is the first of the competitive squads and the emphasis is on refining basic training and technical requirements for competitive swimming.  Please note that unlike Transitional Stroke Group and Nipper Squad, membership fees apply when joining this squad.

We encourage all swimmers to attend at least two, preferably three sessions per week, so as to gain the most benefit.

Requirements for inclusion

• Under 14 years at 1st May of the new season

Training times & Locations

• Refer to website Training Calendar for training session times
• Session times are also outlined as per flyer provided each term
• There will be no afternoon training on club Time Trial nights
• Training is held at the Ivanhoe Grammar Pool

Progression to JuniorSquad

• Management and/or coaching staff will determine swimmers' ability and assessment for progression to Junior Squad
